As Apple Arcade continues to evolve and grow, changes are happening within its gaming library. Recently, Apple added a 'Leaving Arcade Soon' section to its App Store service, indicating that approximately 15 games will be removed from the platform in the near future.

Many of these departing titles were either launch games or were added soon after Apple Arcade's debut. It's worth noting that developers retain the rights to their creations and can re-release them on the App Store and/or other platforms as they see fit. However, it is unclear what will happen to games downloaded onto devices by Apple Arcade customers.

Apple signed three-year contracts with numerous developers when Apple Arcade first launched. These deals provided a fixed payment and ongoing royalties for each game. Unfortunately, not all of these agreements are being renewed.

According to an inside source, the reasons behind these removals have not been disclosed by Apple. The exact fate of games that have already been downloaded onto devices is also unclear at this time.
